Candied Spice Pecans are great to serve with other appetizers. You can adjust the spiciness with the amount of cayenne pepper you add. Add a few to your salad for an extra treat!

¼ cup granulated sugar
¼ cup golden or light corn syrup
1 ½ t sea salt
½ t finely ground black pepper
½ t cayenne pepper
½ t ground ginger
½ t paprika
4 cups shelled pecan halves

Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.

Spray a baking sheet with a small amount of cooking oil.

In a large bowl, combine everything except the pecans.
Add the pecans and stir with a large serving spoon to combine.
Transfer to the baking sheet and bake 5 minutes.

Remove from oven and gently stir again.
Return to oven and bake another 12 minutes.

Remove from oven and separate three to four times while cooling to keep the nuts from sticking together.

Let cool completely and store in an airtight container.

Makes 4 cups
